MY FAVOURITE HAIR PRODUCTS | beauty

September 12, 2019

Welp, at 5 months post-partum I am in the "thick" (LOL..thick) of it when it comes to postpartum hair loss. Hence the LOL at the work thick. My gorgeous, thick, volumenous pregnancy hair is long gone and I'm struggling the hold onto every strand. On the other hand, I rarely have the opportunity to do anything to my hair other than a low pony tail (parted in the middle of course, to hide the famous hairline postpartum hair loss bald spots). But when I do get some extra shower time to blow dry my hair, I like to make the most of it.

My hair is fine, thin and the ends dry out easily. I was never a big hair person. I'm not the best at doing my hair and styling it. The most effort that  will go into my hair is installing clip-in extensions OR curling my hair when I have the time. So a few styling products make a huge difference on those days (most days) when I don't have time to put in extra effort.

SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER

It has taken me a shockingly long time to find a shampoo and conditioner that didn't weigh down my hair, make it greasy, make it frizzy etc. Bumble and Bumble's Hairdressers Invisible Oil shampoo and conditioner is my holy grail, can't be without it, take it everwhere staple! I won't be switching anytime soon. Just give it a try! Your hair will feel luxurious, shiny and healthy! PROMISE!

Living Proof Nourishing Oil

Two pumps of this oil massaged onto the ends of my hair have prevented crunchy ends. Unfortunately, I don't have time to keep up with haircuts (Just ask my stylist!) and I'm generally ALWAYS over-due for a trim. But this oil has save my butt...errr..hair, from damage in between my appointments. I used it everyday!

Living Proof Nourishing Styling Cream

If I plan on using hot tools (curling stick or flat iron) I run this product through my damp hair - roots to ends, and the blow dry upside down. I find it adds a bit of volume and holds styles longer. It also helps to add a bit more texture to no wash days.

Briogeo Leave-In Conditioning Spray

I keep this product handy for when things are really bad. When I've really pushed it with my hair appointments. This helps with any damage I have. It just helps smooth things out and prevents more damage with extra conditioning! I love the results this product gives my hair!

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo

This is a splurge, and I'll be honest that sometimes I end up running to the drug store to get a cheaper option, but I always want my Living Proof (it just comes for a price!). It gets me through so many no wash days though - better than any other dry shampoo I've used. It blends well! I lift up my roots, give it a good spray wherever needed and massage in while upside down! Instant volume, no grease and great texture!
