I SWITCHED MY SKINCARE TO ONLY AVEENO PRODUCTS | beauty

A few months ago I went to an event with another blogger friend of mine. I often don't get invited to Toronto-based blogger events, but I was more than happy to come to this one because it was for Aveeno, and I have to say, I was really keen on attending this one because of the brand. I've used Aveeno for YEARS. The products have always given me high-end results at moderate drug store prices.

When I learned I was pregnant, I had to do an entire overhaul on my skincare. I needed to read the ingredients on every product I had to ensure there wasn't anything harmful in them that could cause birth defects. Retinol and retinoids are one of those ingredients that are big no-no during pregnancy. And unfortunately, most of my beloved Murad products contained ingredients I couldn't use and some I wasn't comfortable using. Luckily about a week before my positive test I had gone to this event and enjoyed a complete wall of full-sized products from their Positively Radiant line to choose from. I basically filled my bag with each product, knowing how much I already loved these products. So I was set on my skincare - I didn't really have to purchase any new products.

My retinol serum and Murad products went into the cupboard where they will stay until I finish breastfeeding, and Aveeno has taken their place.

At first I worried about this would take a toll on my skin. I'm very strict with my skincare routine, as I'm over 30. I get Botox, some fillers (obviously I have stopped since getting pregnant) and this is followed by a serious anti-aging routine. But so far, aside from my slight wrinkles returning (I'm far overdue for Botox) my skin looks fantastic. While I could chalk it up to my hormones and the prenatal vitamins I've been taking, Aveeno has managed to keep my skin moisturized and dewy, which is really important for preventing signs of aging.

This post is not sponsored, it's just a friendly gal sharing some of her favourite products.

Of the line, the following are products I use regularly! I hope you find some interest in them, and if you make the switch, let me know how it goes for you!

Enjoy!!

This stuff is amazing if you're really struggling for moisture!

I use the toner whenever I get a pimple - clears overly-oily skin right up!

If you purchase any of these products - ensure this is one of them!! This product is divine
