WEEKEND GETAWAY STYLE | friyay affordables

July 7, 2017

Hey everyone! I am finally back with Friyay Affordables where everything in this post is under $100USD!

This weekend, Bryon and I are going to Niagara On The Lake for a little weekend getaway. I was gifted wine tasting passes from Wineries Of Niagara On The Lake for both Bryon and I to use anytime this year (Thank you!!!). I was particularly excited about this because I haven't visited the wineries in Niagara because Prince Edward County is my second home and I have all the wine I need there lol. So, these passes were a great excuse for us to go on a weekend getaway. With this in mind, I thought I would share some affordable weekend styles with you guys.

My idea of weekend wear is comfortable, cute and easy to layer. Especially easy to layer...because I live in Canada and the weather is not predictable at all.

First up... I have a MAJOR crush on THIS cognac bag. OMMMMMGGGGG..it is in my shopping cart, right now. I'm in need of a duffle / weekend bag as I've mentioned previously. I thought I wanted a Herschal, but I was wrong....because I saw this. Drooling.

When it comes to shoes, heels are not going to cut it when I'm out and about. Wedges, okay, fine. But THESE white sneaks are PERF and they actually look cute with a mini wrap dress. They pair with just about anything. THESE ones are great, but you can pop into Winner's and probably get a similar pair if you prefer to do that...might even save you some shipping fees. Slides are awesome, I have a love-hate relationship with them because they're not always comfortable, but THESE and THESE look great and sturdy.

Most of my readers are from the hot States south of Canada, so you may not want jeans on your weekend getaways lol, but I think THESE ripped jeans look super classic, and I actually really love THESE cuffed ones as well. I'm a fan of cuffing..some aren't, but if you are you'll appreciate them. I think if you can style them well they look cute.

Layering pieces are the way to go. A cute, easy tee like THIS one, is great. It looks awesome with a denim jacket or blazer layered over it incase there's a slight chill in the air. Dresses like THIS tee shirt dress and THIS tank dress are amazing because you can literally style them anyway you want. They look casual and are comfortable. if you want to dress things up a little, a cute romper like THIS one or a nice shift dress like THIS one are great for adding a little more detail to your outfit. I prefer a tote bag like THIS one when traveling because it's easier to carry and pack items for the day while still having room for anything you purchase (like wine)

And you know, I always include a widget below for extra items. I've found TONS of cute stuff for you guys below, so make sure you have a look. I can't wait to share my weekend with you guys on Monday.

Happy FriYay

<3 Caitlin
