Okay, so it's actually a shift dress. Tomato, tom(ah)to! When I initially sent a photo of me trying this dress on in Zara, Bryon said, ummm it kind of looks like a mumu ask a girl hahahaha. When I came home with it and tried it on again, he was like, okay, yea it's cute. I LOVE this dress. The print is just so pretty and summer-y. I bought it a month ago, but the weather kept me from wearing it.
Bryon came home one night after a lecture (he's currently in an opthlamology course before he starts his second year of residency) and said he found some great spot on the University of Toronto campus to shoot. I had never been to the campus before, because I went to University of Ottawa. U of T has a beautiful campus, and there were lots of really great spots to shoot. The only problem was that it was extra hot and extra sunny, so it was tough to get a shot where the lighting wasn't too hot. We had to try a couple places.
I realize this dress is not for everyone - I tend to gravitate toward ridiculous sometimes hahaha, but I can not get enough of this dress. I actually wore it to dinner on Sunday evening too. It will be getting lots of wear this summer for sure. It's super easy to throw on, and the sandals let the print do the talking. If you do purchase this dress, try to style it with low-key shoes and a clutch that are more muted, because the dress does have a lot going on lol.
I have linked some similar styles at the bottom of this post in the widget, in case you're looking for something similar but not quite as loud. (And yes, I am still very pale hahahaha)
