SKOR BAR COOKIES | cooking
Guys, I'm 36 weeks pregnant, bored out of my mind because I can't do much and Bryon is studying for a medical test and just started a new rotation so he's slightly MIA these days and weekends. When I'm not sleeping or soaking in a bath, I'm baking lol.
One night Bryon came home with a bag of Skor bits. He mentioned before he wanted me to make something with Skor bits and ended up buying a bag, mildly hinting for me to bake something hahaha. I found the greatest cookie recipe which I altered to make it even better. I'm telling you, these cookies will break hearts. They are soft, moist and chewy. Just the best cookies I've made in a long time!
The recipe is below - let me know if you try baking them!
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups flour
1 cup chopped large Belgium Chocolate buttons (the ones you get at Bulk Barn)
1 Cup Skor Bits
Or you could use 4-5 Skor candy bars, coarsely chopped + 1 cup of Milk Chocolate Chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together butter and sugars, just until mixed. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until just combined.
Add baking soda, salt, and flour, mix until combined. Add both chocolate and Skor bits, mix on low speed until combined.
Scoop the dough into rounded large tablespoons and place on a lined cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake cookies for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges begin to turn golden brown. (USE PARCHMENT PAPER TO LINE YOUR BAKING SHEET)
Cool on cookie sheet for a few minutes then transfer to a cooling rack
