GINGHAM STYLE | fashion
Today I am officially on vacation! Bryon and I are flying to Calgary, Alberta and then renting a car and driving about 2 hours north west (I think it's north west) to Banff. We're going to spend my birthday in the Rockies. Which is super exciting for me because I'm more of an outdoor kinda girl.
Anyway! I'm sharing a cute outfit post with you guys today. It was still a little chilly in Toronto on the weekend, but warm enough that I was able to take off my jacket to shoot this adorable look.
My gingham off-the-shoulder top is from an online boutique called Goodnight Macaroon. You're likely familiar with this place. I've ordered a few items from here, but I do want to give you some advice when ordering: Always check their tagged photos on Instagram to make sure you like the quality of the item. I bought a top from here once and it literally looked like my mom made it. In fact I probably could have made it myself and I don't even know how to sew, so that will give you some insight hahaha. But this top is totally fine, in fact I really love it. The fit is great, and I really like the sleeves and the way it looks. I did buy it during one of their flash sales so you could always wait for it to go on sale. You can also get a similar top HERE or HERE and THIS one too (SO CUTE!!) if you're looking for a slightly different style.
My jeans are by a brand called Hidden Jeans, but I don't think this style is available anymore - I do recommend checking out the brand though. There's a similar style HERE and I'll link some others in the widget below if you're interested. They're just slightly too long for me, but as I was about to roll them a little Bryon said "No, don't do that." hahaha. So I could probably benefit a little from getting them tailored. My shoes are Nine West, and I bought them for work during the winter months so I could keep them at the office, but since the snow has melted I've brought them home and I can wear them outside again. I get quite a bit of questions / compliments on them. The exact style is no longer available, but you can find a style that is basically the same HERE (these are on sale!), HERE (same style, just a different provider) and also HERE, if you don't want patented leather.
How cute are my sunnies!? These were an awesome find by a brand called TAHARI, I couldn't find this style and the cheapest I could find were THESE and THESE. If you want a style that's a little closer to the ones I'm wearing THESE ones are super cute. I'll link more in the widget at the bottom of this post.
I hope this post made up for the one I missed last week hahaha, whoopsies. Wheels up, guys! I can't wait to share my Rockies vacation with you next week!
(there will be a FriYay Affordables tomorrow) (PPS - I am having issues with my Disqus right now...ALL OF THE COMMENTS are showing up at once rather than seperating by post. But please don't let that deter you commenting...I still read and respond to them. I'm getting Disqus to work on it)
Also, if you're a blogger and you shop or are going to shop at Goodnight Macaroon, you can sign up for their affiliate program. If you're interested, DM me on Instagram (@Caitlinalison) or email me Caitlinalisonmelvin@gmail.com and I'll get you set up...because I'm cool like that.
