STARRY NIGHTS AND A 95TH BIRTHDAY | weekend post cards
Welcome back from the weekend friends!
I hope you all had a good one. While I love the convenience of living in Toronto, I hate the sirens, bright lights and constant feeling of busyness around me. Bryon and I went to Prince Edward County Saturday afternoon (after finally getting my winter tires off my car) to stay with my parents for the night. Yesterday we celebrated my Nana's 95TH BIRTHDAY, so it was a pretty big family affair.
Anyway, Saturday was super nice. We ate dinner at my parents' and then went to this super cool bar called The Courage for fancy cocktails and wine. We just hing out at the bar, sipping on my Unicorn Liquid (that's what my cocktail was called) just chatting away. We practically closed the place down as it started to get super quiet until a large bachelorette party walked in. That was our cue to head back to my parents'. We finished a bottle of wine there and had a great sleep. Literally pitch black in the bedroom, which we really don't get in Toronto. It's sort of a luxury. What's even cooler is being able to see the stars and the moon at night, and I'm being 100% serious because you rarely see them when you're in the city. Hence the lovely picture above.
And then of course on Sunday was my Nana's party. My dad made us all breakfast and Bryon studied for his medical exam while I basically did nothing except sit in front of the fire place, drinking my coffee and scrolling through Pinterest and Instagram. Celebrating my Nana's 95th is pretty cool. She actually still lives alone in her condominium. She knows more sports stats than most avid sports fans and she's not afraid to tell it how it is. I expect many more years with this awesome lady!
I hope you all have a really great week!
