SPRING VACATION STYLE ESSENTIALS | lust list
It's currently March Break (in Canada), and mayyyybe spring break has past, however, spring is one of the best times to travel. Whether you're going down south, away for a long weekend or overseas. I'm looking forward to a trip to Banff, Alberta for my birthday weekend with Bryon and my best friend, Christina in May. While the majority of my vacation is going to be spent in hiking clothes, I do have another trip to New Zealand planned in the fall, which is technically a spring vacation (our fall is their spring), so I am going to need some cute spring attire to bring with me.
Going with the off-the-shoulder trend, I chose a few tops I'm currently crushing on, that I felt would be airy and girly and perfect for spring. I'm also obsessed with THIS cardi (#5). Such a perfect twist to a tradition cardi, the slight off-the-shoulder makes is tolerable for cool evenings or days.
When I'm on vacation, dresses are key for me. They're effortless when getting ready to take on the day, you can easily layer them, and they're perfect for transition from day to evening. I did include a couple dresses that would be perfect at night dinner. I love THIS pink one (under $100!!!!!), and the BLACK dress is beautiful. I am definitely considering buying both right now, hahahaha.
I usually stick to my diamond studs when it comes to earrings, but when I need to transition an outfit on vacation, I always bring statement jewelry with me so I don't have to pack so much (frequent traveler's trick). I LOVE Baublebar's colourful pieces, especially THESE beautiful earrings and THIS necklace that looks like stringed seaglass. I also really love THIS dainty colourful necklace (not Baublebar). It would look great against black or light blue.
I'm a huge fan of canvas military jackets, but I'm in dire need of a good raincoat. Not just for traveling (although I'm sure that's where I would get the most use out of it) but in general. I really love THIS raincoat - it's in my shopping cart. It will for sure coming in handy for both of my trips, but also for camping and hiking this summer.
As for the rest of the accessories, I feel like beachy bags and textured clutches are a must for vacation outfits. They just match the whole ordeal. Can we also take a moment to talk about this Olivia Burton watch O-M-G!!! I am obsessed with it. It's just a perfect summer / spring watch and work perfectly for vacation outfits. As you may have noticed, I currently have a slight obsession with espadrilles. They're so cute!
Let me know what you have your eye on for spring vacation packing lists!
